Rinne no Lagrange episode 4 discussion

Episode 3 discussion can be viewed here

Muginami transfers into Madoka's class. This sort of thing is never a coincidence. She is cute stating her name several times. I could listen to it all day, someone should make a 10 minute loop.

Going by the way the base reacted to seeing Muginami on the security cameras, it's clear she wasn't suppose to be there. She didn't have any clothes on which makes it seem like she was held captive there. But she perfectly covers her breasts as if she knew they were watching... I still expect her to become a pilot because of the opening and ending songs but she has some mystery background to deal with.

She doesn't seem evil, but she does take care of Lan. To think, a girl trained to fight in a robot can't even swim. Madoka being Madoka, she's going to help anyone in a pinch. And this isn't the kind of anime to kill off someone on screen. Many will have died off screen in the 3 fights but those aren't important. Even in the first fight, she only disabled the robot.

The fanservice isn't as bad as episode 1, but who doesn't love school swimsuits? It's all for the annual swimming competition so all is well.

Muginami desu

Madoka being part of the Jersey Club and even saving someone in the first episode, she was always going to do well in the race. Muginami has mystery about her so adds to her unknown skills. But she hurt Lan. I'll only forgive her because she saves her life as well as giving mouth to moth.

The viewer finally sees what Madoka's cousin was looking for in episode 1. It's the same colour as Midori.

No panties this time :(

Just like Madoka, Lan has one too. It's situated under her arm and it is the same colour as Orca.

She needs fanservice like Madoka had ;)

Expect to see her mark where Muginami placed her hand.

All I have to say about the café is that viral marketing really works a treat. When in doubt, always get cliché anime girls. Cute vs emotionless klutz, I choose Lan.

Senki Zesshou Symphogear episode 4 discussion

Episode 3 discussion can be viewed here

The start of the episode is a flashback to 5 years ago. It shows how Kanade joined the team. Her family were killed by the noise leaving her as the sole survivor. It makes sense that she would be angry but regenge against an infinite and emotionless enemy won't solve anything. At this moment, revenge on the noise is her only reason to live, but later on she does become more and more friendly with Tsubasa. And realising the people she saves enjoy her music, she joins Tsubasa and makes Zwei Wing.

As the only only one potentially compatible with Gungnir, Kanade is taken to the lab to test the actual compatability. She fails at first but forcefully injects more medicine (Kids, don't do drugs) into her bloodstream. Whether it was the medicine or the determination, she activated Gungnir.

The things you do to get stronger

Outside, Genjurou clenched his fist and drew blood. Being forced to watch a young girl in pain is never going to be easy, but is self punishment necessary? Well, it is suppose to be the adults protecting the children, not the other way around.

All he can do is watch

Back to the present, Tsubasa is talking with the owner of the Nehushtan armour. Hibiki is against them fighting even if they are enemies. The Nehushtan armour is from an unbroken relic. This relates to a lot more power than Tsubasa's and Hibiki's broken relic armours. Just like at the concert, the noise were summoned by the armour.

Hibiki is stated as her target. It makes me think that the other time noise were summoned was when Hibiki was out to get a CD. She was also a target then, but that might have been because noise are programmed to kill anyone they find.

The noise trap Hibiki in some type of sticky thread. They have a chance to kill her, but she probably more useful alive. It does make a questionable picture though...

*Nosebleed*

What I called the final song, is now called the swan song. If they have the ability to use a finisher move that's also a double edged sword, then they will use it eventually. But, she didn't even finish off her enemy. It caused a lot of damage, but that isn't enough to avenge Kanade. Sorry Tsubasa, you failed. Positive side is she's still alive to try again later in the series.

With Tsubasa now unable to fight, only Hibiki (and unintroduced characters) are left. Hibiki believes both Tsubasa's and Kanade's deaths are her fault and as the only fighter left, she needs to get stronger.

*Insert training montage here*

There are secrets that are kept secret for a reason. Miku should stop trying to find out what she is hiding. Miku did see her training but that doesn't lead to assuming she's fighting the noise.

Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! episode 3 discussion

Episode 2 discussion can be viewed here

In this episode the 3 girls and Yuuta abandoned their family in order to keep everyone together. The only one unaware of what is happening is Hina. She still doesn't know what has happened to Yuri and Shingo. She was asleep during that important talk and it's never easy to just come out and tell her.

When they get to Tachikawa, he avoids all of the restaurants because of all the happy families. I don't think they would have been bothered by it though. Sure they will mourn but right now the main focus is not running away or that their parents plane went missing, but the most important thing is lunch.

He decides to go to karaoke where he just happens to meet Kouichi. What are the chances...? Kouichi is a nice guy even if he is a playboy. He leaves his target and worries about the situation Yuuta is in, or he wants to protect the girls. Either way, he helps out when Yuuta's aunt calls.

Yay.

Hina just caries on singing as if nothing has happened. That must be one hell of a song, or children like Hina can be easily entertained. I've seen in other anime karaokes get scored out of 10 so she could also be aiming for that.

The next idol of Japan

From the phone call, it doesn't seem like his relatives are going to help him with the finances. He has the choice to take them back, but there's no way that would happen. For now, he will work hard to keep them together.

They get to Yuuta's home and it is described as cute. He made it clear that it was small, but they've been living in such a large house, so their perception may have been distorted. Quick compromises are made, such as a curtain to make a changing room.

The curtain is then used by Miu for her cute figure. She may fail to tempt him now, but I wonder what it would be like if she succeeds.

Miu's cute figure

After the first day everything has gone fine, no major problems have occurred.

I couldn't resist adding this >.<

Ano Natsu de Materru episode 3 discussion

Episode 2 discussion can be viewed here

I guess this episode's main focus was the misunderstanding between Kaito and Ichika. He skipped school just to avoid her. Kaito's is more down to Earth thinking about the failed confession and Ichika's is out of this world thinking about her being an alien is exposed. It's overreacting a little but it gave Kanna a chance to go on a sort of date with him.

Tetsurou helped Kanna decide to visit Kaito, even if he did spark her jealous side. Mio is very aware of this and suggests that he should stop interfering. Going by the end of the episode, it might already be too late for Kanna.

Lemon had fun with the camera in this episode. Episode 2 led to sexy pictures and this one almost led to recording Kanna's confession. If she had stayed hidden, Kanna might have actually confessed. It does make Kanna look like Lamon's target though.

Lemon's weapon
It led to a cute emotional outburst when she found her other friends and assumed they were peeping on her. Lemon really is a genius. Kanna doesn't seem like the type to hold a grudge so everything will be fine in the next episode.

Kanna's emotional outburst

Ichika finally realised she is a love interest, even if she was joking. She named the other girls only to be told no quickly, but this suggests Kaito only has eyes for her. Give it a few episodes and he'll be stuck in a harem and unable to choose.

But can Ichika love him? She blushes like a normal human and acts in a similar way but that could just be her nervous impulse or bad research. She'll have done a little research since she knows, or thinks she knows, about the men in black.

Ichika found out Kaito's secret, so to balance it she should tell him her secret. I doubt it will happen, but equivalent exchange is important. Most likely she'll turn him down since I can't see it going well if they become a couple. I don't think I've ever seen a character's feelings come out so early in an anime series like this. She still has her special place to find so dating will not be her first priority.

Rinne no Lagrange episode 3 discussion

Episode 2 discussion can be viewed here

I'm unsure what happened to the first enemy, Madoka ditched him in order to fight the new one. For some reason they didn't team up on her. At some point he'll have gone underwater for when Lan came out to fight.

Madoka tried to catch the sword twice and failed both times. But after getting knocked down the first time, he communicates with her. He made it clear that they aren't there to harm people. But this just brings up the question of why they are there. They knew they'd have to fight if they came to Earth, but that just means their objectives are worth fighting over. Even if they aren't there to harm people, they are willing to fight the Ovids.

I don't see how using wire on an Ovid could possibly lead to a positive outcome. If she had at least used her arms, it would have done some damage. Or she could have used the same finishing move as the first episode.

Lan uses the Vox Rympha to help Madoka even though she knew she wouldn't be of much use. This is probably because she felt guilty by pushing the legend onto Madoka. Madoka assures her she is fighting because she wants the finish a job she started. Lan looked really cute in this scene, her blush is weak on light skin, but she is an alien, even if that has nothing to do with it.

OMG, Lan has emotions

Madoka's words help her to get over her problems and the Vox System activates. Her timing was perfect, she grabbed the sword where Madoka failed twice. I expected Madoka to finally grab the sword but this outcome is even better.

Third times the charm

With both Vox systems activated, the enemy retreats. It isn't unrealistic that they retreated, but they should have had the upper hand. Lan had only just activated and Madoka was in a weakened position.

After the battle, they give their Ovid's names. Midori, or Green, is a simple name and is based on the colour of the Ovid. But I'm unsure what Orca is. A whale maybe...?

Senki Zesshou Symphogear episode 3 discussion

Episode 2 discussion can be viewed here

2 months have passed and Hibiki and Tsubasa are unable to work together still. The reasons are because Hibiki can't use Kanade's weapon and because Tsubasa is probably still reluctant. 2 months earlier, or right after the previous episode, Tsubasa did one of her major attacks. If Genjurou didn't intervene, Hibiki might not have survived. But the interesting thing is, he can stop a full on attack like it's nothing. As the leader, he had brains but with this scene, he has brawn as well.

The power of Genjurou

I know Hibiki wants to help, but saying she'll replace Kanade was not the best idea. To her, it simply means to be a team member and fight the noise. But to Tsubasa, Kanade was more than just a team member, she was more likely her lover. So Hibiki really deserved something much more than that slap. In a situation like that, I'd be surprised if she wasn't crying. The burst water pipe works really well in representing her emotions.

We get to see Kanade's final moments, it really changed Tsubasa. She constantly states that she is an emotionless weapon simply to fight. Even if she tries to cut off her emotions, she will never forget Kanade.

Ryoko bites Hibiki's ear. I knew she had an interest in Hibiki but just this was the best development. That reaction was perfect. However, Hibiki belongs to Miku.

Ear nibble

The leading theory of the noise is that they are aiming for Durandal. This is a collection of relic fragments kept on a lower level called Abyss. Both Tsubasa's and Hibiki's relics need a song to activate them but will eventually deactivate. However, undamaged relics will continue activated even if the original singer were to pass them onto someone else.

Hibiki going berserk was exactly what I wanted in episode 2. To be taken away from Miku and viewing shooting stars is definitely something to get angry about. But blaming the noise probably isn't the best idea. There's Kanade, or her suit, and there's the mastermind behind the noise. She clearly stated they are emotionless but in the moment, you'll blame anything on the person closest to you.

Berserk mode, ACTIVATE!

It's made clear that there is a leader controlling the other noise. Before, the leaders were probably the big ones but even then, size does not equal power. This one had bombs he grew and released. He had the upper hand until Tsubasa came. After that, the newest enemy appear to give us a cliffhanger. It's not even close to the first ending but I still have to see how this anime goes.

Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! episode 2 discussion

Episode 1 discussion can be viewed here

I'll ignore the shower scene and Sora's wish of "growing up".

My opinion of Yuuta went down this episode. He should have let Hina win the game. But dumb shounen boys never learn. If they can't understand a child's heart, they will never understand a girl's heart.

Teary eyed Hina is too cute. I have a strong impulse to protect her.

The episode did have some nice tsundere action. The relationship between Yuuta and Sora started off on shaky grounds but actually became quite stable. Her reaction to Miu asking about a girlfriend is just too obvious. Her small dace routine explaining her shower was especially cute. She'll have more nice development later in the series but I'm unsure whether she'll be chosen. Being his niece but not being blood related would probably still be difficult.

Raika didn't show up in this episode so I hope she will be in the next episode. Even if it is for a short time, I want her to stop by at least once. She is one of the love interests so she needs some screen time.

The highlight for me was deffinitely the Engrish. I'm not able to pronounce Japanese words well so I understand how hard it is for a Japanese person to pronounce English words. But singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was totally unexpected and made my day.

After such a cute scene, tragedy happens. The plane with Yuri and her husband disappeared and they are presumed dead. As the relatives wouldn't be able to look after all three of them together, their only option is to split them up. The emotions were really strong. First they lost their parents and then they would be split up as well. As children they have no say leaving them helpless.

Helplessness

Yuuta having been through this experience, but having his sister raise him, he knows exactly how it feels. Without a second thought, he takes them all in, family must stay together. Taking them all in, he is likely to get financial support from the relatives. He may also get a part time job to support them even further but the important thing is they are still together.

Ano Natsu de Materru episode 2 discussion

Episode 1 discussion can be viewed here

It was obvious but Ichika is an alien. But my problem is, why are they always human or human like figures. If I think of an alien, I think of an Eldritch Abomination even if it wouldn't work in a romantic comedy (I think I've seen too many thrillers). Instead she had the same human form when she was inside her ship. From being stared at on the train in the first episode, I assumed she had taken on the form of a human and made a mistake on the hair colour.

In the first scene we see Ichika's side of the UFO crash. It was an accident caused by space debris. I'm unsure how many times NASA has sent something into space but I'm sure it's there fault for all the space debris. Thanks to detecting life she saved Kaito's life. However, I wonder how many animals were killed in that crash. I guess human life is more important.

Inside the spaceship

After the opening credits, we get to see where the previous episode left off. Both Ichika and Kaito are explaining what happened. It's funny how she explains it in a way only she understands then quickly changes it to human understanding. She even clearly stated she's came from her planet but changed that to homeland. Although they think her parents died, I think she might have run away from home. But her objective is clearly to find a certain place.

It is cute to see her call Kaito's sister Onee-chan-san which is probably taken as one of her strange traits. It's similar to how her cooking is just not right together. Rinon has some explanation in this episode. It's the hull of her ship or maybe the control panel. It has such a cute form and makes an appearance during the drunk scene. It's lucky they were drunk or things might have been exposed.

They see the sister off before going clothes shopping. They would be home alone when they get back if it wasn't for their friends. Lemon and everyone else have come because of Kanna's doubt and to discuss the film. She proposes the script that's been in her head for 20 years. Assuming the subtitles are correct she really is a mysterious one. In fact with this and her actions in the first episode, I consider her an anomaly. We don't know the characters back stories, but maybe she's also an alien like Ichika.

Acting innocent she was able to trick everyone into drinking an alcoholic drink. The genius loli is actually a scheming sadist. Even her laugh is cute. She even got everyone to play the kings game. She tried to have fun till the end but it was called off. We got to see some nice poses and something close to yuri. I think she's officially my favourite character. I hope for more awesome schemes later in the series.

This is the beginning of a wonderful relationship

But my favourite scene between Kaito and Ichika is at the very end. The way they act after the healing session is really nicely done. Sorry Kanna, the competition is too strong.

Rinne no Lagrange episode 2 discussion

Episode 1 discussion can be viewed here

In this episode we learn that the robot is called an Ovid and it's full name is Vox Aura. I assume the colour change doesn't mean anything important, just that it has been activated fully. But since the colour didn't go back to how it was, I guess it's been on standby for a long time.

Madoka doesn't realise it, but Lan is struggling with how easy it was for her to pilot the Ovid. Being the emotionless type, she won't let her feelings show. Even though she can't pilot properly, she was still going to go out and help Madoka when she was struck down into the water. It is her fault Madoka is piloting so she should be the one to help. But if she's just going to be dead weight, she's better on standby.

Poor Lan

We also get to see Muginami's introduction. She was in the credits just like Lan so we knew she'd be important. Later on Lan should get over whatever is holding her back and Muginami seemed to not want to be there. It was almost like she was running from something and she was quick to split up with Madoka. The base is large and there should be cameras all over so there is nowhere to hide.

So, we have Madoka the energetic type, Lan the emotionless formal type who follows orders and Muginami the laid back type who happily skips off on work. Even in the credits they fit these character types.

The 3 main characters

After Madoka's encounter with Muginami, she goes straight back into battle. But this time she is up against someone who can actually fight well. That being said, she is quickly struck down and submerged in water. Her motivation is also shattered but regained from a call from her cousin. It becomes a 2 on 1 battle. Muginami might get some action in the next episode.

Ano Natsu de Materru episode 1 discussion

When a group of friends decide to make a movie over a long summer holiday, they end up learning a little about filmmaking and a lot more about each other and themselves. What begins as a simple way to avoid the summer doldrums quickly turns into something much more complex, intimate and revealing, as the maturing relationships between the members of the young cast take on new, and sometimes very unexpected, turns. (Source: MAL)

I haven't seen Onegai Teacher but I've seen others say it's similar, so if you've seen Onegai Teacher, you'll probably like this anime. Even if I haven't seen Onegai Teacher, this anime is definitely worth following.

A boy and his camera, the possibilities are endless. Record while you can, you never know when a UFO will crash down and cause a near death experience. It's not something you see everyday, or any day for that matter.

It's always the alien's fault

Kaito Kirishima is then saved by beautiful hands and wakes up next morning as if nothing happened. He can't tell what but he can feel that something is off. He remembers that he went out filming but is unable to figure out the missing parts of his memory.

On the way to school, he gets his first look at the red haired girl, Ichika Takatsuki. Even if it was from far away and she was on a train. It's normal in anime to see colourful hair but the other characters have darker hair as well as blue. Red just stands out more.

Kaito films Ichika outside the school and leads to talking about making a film over the Summer. His close friends are happy with being in it but are unsure about what to actually film.

Ichika joins the school and becomes friends with Lemon Yamano, a genius loli. At lunch, they both join in to help with the film project. Lemon will be the one supplying the script. It makes me wonder just who Lemon is. She has her own uniform and is a genius. I think she'd be better suited at an elite school even if she does sleep in class.

Ichika has no place to stay so Kaito invites her to his house, even if it was his delusion. While she's in the bathroom, he collapses from the metabolism of his cells. It's probably where his cells are changing and failing to function properly. She comes out in only a bath towel and notices him collapsed on the floor, summons Yno and kisses him to save his life. Just as this is happening, his sister opens and witnesses the end of the kiss.

It's annoying but somehow... yeah, somehow the towel slips and she feels the need to cover herself up using his face. I suppose it is kind of natural unlike opening the door to someone in the bathroom. But, this sort of thing in anime is always unneeded.

Any man would pay for this situation

Senki Zesshou Symphogear episode 2 discussion

Episode 1 discussion can be viewed here

Sadly she didn't go berserk. Those glowing eyes and smile at the end of the last episode really made this series interesting and I thought for sure something would come from it. But it didn't carry that on into this episode. Instead she can't even fight and she has to run away. But I have to admit, she is really cute. The cat like ears, the headphones and pretty much everything else.

Hibiki Tachibana - Her transformation is cute

She can't fight so Tsubasa has to do everything. Even in the first episode she shows she can do it without Kanade. Hibiki is handcuffed and given a welcome party at the Mobile Disaster Response Corps 2nd Division. Both times she visits she is handcuffed even though she isn't a threat. So there is no reason for treating her like that except for comedy.

The ability to transform comes from fragments of Kanade's relic Gungnir. Tsubasa has the first relic and Hibiki now has the third. There will be a second and maybe even more. Having Kanade's relic grants Hibiki the same suit and probably the same power. Singing activates the power of the relic and allows them to fight the noise. In the next episode Hibiki will fight against Tsubasa. So we'll see how well that goes.

I have to mention Hibiki's and Miku's relationship. They are more than just friends. The way Miku grieves in the first episode feels more than missing a friend but instead a lover. They live and sleep together which just adds to it. But I really hope she isn't going to be like the clueless male character of a romance show. Falling asleep before she's going to say something important is not what I want to see.

Highschool DxD episode 1 discussion

The story follows Issei Hyodo, a dim-witted, lecherous second-year high school student who is killed by a girl on his first date ever. Issei is reincarnated as a devil, and from that day forward, he serves as an underling of Rias, a high-level devil who is also the prettiest girl on Issei's campus. (Source: MAL)

The first thing you should know about this series is, there big breasts.  And more than once they are naked. It's something unneeded but it'll attract more men to the series. The problem is, I don't think it's that good.

Issei Hyoudou entered an all girls school gone co-ed to find a girlfriend. However, Yuuma Amano, his first girlfriend kills him. She is a fallen angel who probably had the order to kill him because he poses a threat to them and possesses the Sacred Gear. It'll probably be something that gives him a lot of power.

The magic circle that summons Rias

The magic circle he got before his date summons Rias Gremory. He is revived and lives on as her underling. His friends forget about being introduced to Yuuma and act as if nothing happened. All traces of her has also disappeared.

Issei loses the ability to see light, which is probably only tempory and feels pain when struck by a light attribute weapon. Rias comes to his rescue again and waits up next to him the next morning.

I really like his alarm clock. Take a female character type and give her a wake up message. He has the childhood friend, a murderous girl and a maid.

The otaku's alarm clock - Maid character

Honestly I don't expect much from this series. I've never seen an anime like this do really well. The breasts really ruin it for me.

Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! episode 1 discussion

Segawa Yuta is a freshman of a university. He lost his parents when he was small and was raised by his sister Yuri. Yuta has been living alone since Yuri got married to a middle aged man when Yuta was a junior high student.

One day, Yuri visited Yuta's apartment and asked him to take care of her three daughters while Yuri and her husband were on a trip. He unwillingly accepted the job but the plane Yuri took went missing. In order to prevent the daughters from being adopted separately by relatives, Yuta decided to take in all three girls.

A life of a strange family in a tiny apartment begins.  (Source: MAL)

Yuuta Segawa has started his first day of university and gets handed a leaflet to go out drinking with new students. The only problem is he had non-alcoholic beer and somehow got drunk off the smell. While drunk, he is tricked by the Sightseeing Club and made to think he raped Raika Oda. Raika is emotionless so she can't portray the role very well making it fall appart really quickly. This gives her the nickname "sobbing" girl.

He meets up with Raika again in the Sightseeing Club's clubroom and offers him the choice of two a small or large bag but gives him porn when she refuses both. He strips her by request and fulfils her goal. She puts this as "Moe resulting from stripping a goddess". She believes this is one one his sexual idiosyncrasies but the bouncing breast would excite any man.

Raika Oda - The choice

I find walking into a girl changing one of the worst cliches out there. Sure it's a misunderstanding but it's as if no male has ever learnt how to knock.  Though She has a picture of him in her phone and even acts like she likes him. She fits the childhood friend that just happens to be a tsundere as well. She isn't related by blood either so having a relationship will be ok.

Sora Takanashi and Yuuta Segawa - Misunderstanding

I'm not that big a fan of tsunderes but they can have some nice character development.  I expect violence in the next episode.

Kill Me Baby episode 1 discussion

Kill Me Baby is the touching story of Yasuna, a normal (?) high school girl, and Sonya, her best friend who happens to be an assassin. Unfortunately, little Sonya's trained assassin instincts often work against her and others in her daily high school life, as Yasuna's often-broken wrist can attest to. She just wanted a hug, but she ended up with a broken neck. Isn't it sad? No, it's hilarious. (Source: MAL)

It's a gag manga about an idiot and an assassin. I've been reading the manga so I already knew what this would be about. I knew it wouldn't be the best but it did give me a few good laughs. I'll keep reading the manga but I bet the anime will be dropped by episode 3.

My favourite part was probably Agiri Goshiki and her scrolls of ninja techniques. Take something simple and make it a ninja technique. I know where I'm going to make my fortune.

Ninja scrolls - Ninja techniques

The opening song, if you can call it a song, was horrible. It overused "kill me baby" to the point it wasn't funny anymore. Though it does make a good point. Baby, please kill me. Even if I hated the opening, the ending was decent.

Humans have been menaced by mysterious monsters called "Designated Aberrant Disaster: Noise". Tsubasa and Kanade are a popular vocal unit "Zwei Wing". They wear the new weapon "Symphogear" and fight against Noise to save the earth. (Source: MAL)

In the first scene Miku Kohinata is visiting Hibiki Tachibana's grave. She survived the concert so she must have died some other way. I don't think the reason is from her transformation.

Miku Kohinata - Hibiki Tachibana's grave

The only other music anime I've seen is The Idolm@aster (which I haven't finished yet) and as a comparison, this is amazing if not better. The amount of work that goes into animating really shows. It really was amazing.

The public know about the noise. It's obvious from the way they recognise them. But the problem here is, why would you go to a closed off space when you'd be an easy target? The only benefit of being there is Zwei Wing are the only 2 we know can fight them. However, even if they are, it doesn't stop one of the members from giving her life just to save one person. Given that Hibiki is the main character, it wouldn't be the best idea to kill her off without a real fight.

On the rooftop, Hibiki sings the song to transform. I'm left wondering if anyone can transform with the song or if she had dormant power. She looks as if she has gone berserk but next episode will show if she can control her power.

Rinne no Lagrange episode 1 discussion

Kyouno Madoka is a 17-year-old girl, who loves her home town Kamogawa and likes to help people in trouble. She rides a robot called Woks in her jersey wear and fights against aliens. (Source: MAL)

Madoka has a really energetic personality. It's obvious she lives her life to the fullest and enjoys it. She's willing to help out in any situation. Even in the first seen we get to see her save a girl from drowning. She's part of the sweats club which I assume is for other students to come to for various jobs. Her diary is fully booked showing just how hard she works. In this episode we see her working with the film, kendo, tennis and baseball clubs.

I don't hate anime with fan service but almost all of the time i find it pointless and is there just for eye candy. They do give a reason for stripping her and showing her panties but the shower scene was there for show. The cousin was clearly looking for something that relates to riding a robot which Madoka feels pain in that area when she touches the robot. In the next episode I hope to see what she was looking for.

Kyouno Madoka - panties

When she touches the robot, it cuts away to what I think is a memory. I think this because she looks younger. Her hair is shorter and the body isn't developed yet. So she might have had some experience with using the robot before.

Kyouno Madoka - memory

When she gets into the robot it's on remote control, but of course Madoka having main character status, she is automatically better. Even the robot assigned to her is said to hold immense power. It's normal to see this sort of thing in anime, but I hope it plays off nicely and isn't boring. She managed to take control just by wishing it and uses her skills from kendo to win the battle.

Her catchphrase "perfect" is really cute and perfect for her personality. It's great for when everything goes your way.

Overall I enjoyed the episode and see real potential. I'll definitely be watching episode 2.
